Leadership teams

In addition to our issue committees, we also have a number of different teams that our members can get involved with!

outreach

The College Democrats Outreach Team seeks to build progressive power on campus by developing relationships with various organizations on campus. Members of the Outreach Team facilitate one-on-one leadership meetings in order to build connections and promote collaboration on events. The team also participates in emerging coalition meetings to encourage unity within the campus community. By connecting groups to political work and elected officials, the outreach team bridges the gap between campus activism and broader political work.

membership

The Membership Team strives to recruit, retain, and engage members, increase inclusivity in the organization, and increase intra-organizational cohesion. It works individually with committees, plans social events, and works diligently to create one-on-one connections across the organization. It is imperative that every member feels valued, which is why the Membership Team works to foster a sense of community within the organization and carry out a fundamental idea at the core of College Democrats—that democratic ideals are best upheld through the building of bridges and the prosperity of communities.

field team

The Field Team works diligently to register voters, canvass for Democratic candidates, and organize a vast team of dedicated volunteers who register voters around campus. In the months leading up to the 2022 election, the Field Team is on the ground, knocking on doors, and reaching out to voters in order to mobilize the grass-roots action necessary for winning elections.

social media

The Social Media Team is in charge of managing the Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages for College Democrats. The team also manages the Facebook and Twitter for each of our three issue committees (FemDems, JustDems, and Stonewall). The Social Media Coordinators work with the Communications Director to craft messaging, create audio-visual content, and update the campus community about exciting events.
